My tours (sometimes my bride will join me) are conducted aboard a twenty two foot Sportsman Bay Boat with, if necessary, a port-a-potty. All of our tours leave from the Folly Island boat ramp. It is easy to find. It is at the end of Highway 171 and its the first right as you enter Folly Island. Parking is generally available on site.
If you are able, choose a weekday tour, as week days allow you to enjoy the beauty of the area with a minimum of boat traffic disruption so common on weekends. We'll leave from the boat landing dock and then, dependent on where the action has been, we'll tour the creeks and dolphin watch and bird watch until we get to lighthouse inlet. Given the right tide and sea conditions, we might even be able to go a short distance off shore to circle the Morris Island Lighthouse and hear about its history while you are up close. We'll talk about both the ecology and the geology of the salt marshes. Suggested reading:

We'll stay out for two hours.
Our Sunset tours usually leave about 45 minutes before sunset so that you can tour, see the sunset and enjoy the twilight on your way home. Our route will be a circle that takes us home a different way than we started out. We will have bottled water on board. Unfortunately we are not able to provide alcohol on tours, but you are welcome to bring any snacks that you like.
My goal is for you to come away with a deeper appreciation of the unique ecosystem that our rivers, creeks and marshes represent. These systems serve as the nursery of the ocean. My trips allow a maximum of six people to see the intricacies of this wonderland from a comfortable boat and at a leisurely pace. You will tour the creeks where only locals dare to navigate. There will be plenty of time for photography and time just to sit and take it all in. You can take a walk on the beach or the sandbar at Morris Island if you like. I will point out things of interest, give you as much history as you like, and can help you identify birds and other animals that you might see. I am sure that you will be as fascinated as I am by the treasure that the salt marsh represents.

Every trip is different, different animals, different activity, different feel to the weather, cloud formations and feel of the water.
Plenty of time to learn about the history and ecology of our estuaries as well as take a stroll along the beach
Time to travel, then see the sunset and travel back enjoying the afterglow
